About Elsa
Greetings! Thank you for visiting my portfolio! My name is Elsa, and I was born and raised in Upstate New York. I have one son who will be graduating from high school this year, and I have three cats whose goals consist of eating, sleeping, and finding mischief. My interests include reading, writing (I am working on my first book), crocheting, true crime documentaries, and volunteer work through my church.

I have always worked in healthcare, and I would not want to work in any other setting. I obtained my Associate's degree from Jefferson Community College in 2004. My first job upon graduation was at a funeral home, and it was my favorite job. My goal at that time was to work as a medical transcriptionist, which I did successfully for 10 years. From there I worked on an inpatient psychiatric unit for 10 years as a unit clerk with many responsibilities. I have had an interest in medical coding for many years, and decided to work toward that goal in spring of 2022. I have worked hard thus far to reach my goal, struggling through many obstacles, and I am close to reaching my goal.

My ultimate goal is to work as a medical coder in a remote position. I would like to move within the next few years to another state, and working remotely as a medical coder will allow me the flexibility to take my job anywhere.

I am a very ambitious, highly motivated, and professional individual.  I look forward to furthering my education and sharpen my skills to the fullest extent.
