HTHS305 Legal Aspects of Health Management; Healthcare Ethics and Case Law Portfolio Project
HTHS305 helped me understand how legal and ethical principles guide healthcare management and patient care. Through case studies and legal topics, I examined issues such as patient rights, informed consent, confidentiality, discrimination, negligence, and ethical responsibility. This course showed me that healthcare leaders must make decisions that follow the law while also protecting dignity, safety, and fairness. In the workplace, these skills help me recognize risks, respect patient rights, support ethical practices, and understand why policies and regulations are necessary in healthcare organizations.

PSYC310 Organizational Psychology; Workplace Stress, Motivation, and Team Dynamics Assignments
PSYC310 helped me build community and career skills by focusing on how people work together, communicate, handle stress, and respond to different leadership styles. The workplace stress, motivation, and team dynamics assignments helped me understand how personal experiences, culture, expectations, and organizational environments affect employees. These lessons connect directly to healthcare because strong teams must respect differences, communicate professionally, and create a sense of belonging. In my future career, this outcome helps me support a workplace that is inclusive, culturally sensitive, and focused on both staff and patient well-being.

PHIL250 Practices in Reasoning and Thinking; Healthcare Worker Burnout Ethics Portfolio Project
PHIL250 helped me develop stronger thinking abilities by requiring me to reflect, analyze, and evaluate different sides of an issue before forming a conclusion. In my healthcare worker burnout ethics project, I examined whether burnout is mainly a system failure or an individual responsibility. This assignment pushed me to identify assumptions, consider evidence, and explain my reasoning in a balanced way. In the workplace, these thinking skills are important because healthcare leaders must pause, evaluate problems carefully, and adjust their decisions when new information or better solutions become available.

HTHS405 Long-Term Care Management; Continuum of Care Portfolio Project
HTHS405 helped me connect new course concepts with knowledge I had already gained through my healthcare experience and previous classes. The Continuum of Care Portfolio Project required me to look at how different levels of care, resident needs, regulations, staffing, and quality of life all connect in a long-term care setting. This helped me see how classroom learning applies to real workplace situations. In a health services role, relational learning allows me to use past experience, new information, and professional judgment to make better decisions and adapt to different patient and organizational needs.

ENGL302 Advanced Research, Writing, and Presenting; Universal Healthcare Persuasive Research Essay and Presentation
ENGL302 helped me strengthen my information literacy and communication skills by requiring me to research a healthcare issue, evaluate credible sources, organize evidence, and communicate my findings in written and visual formats. Through the universal healthcare research project, I practiced choosing reliable information instead of depending on opinion alone. I also learned how to support an argument clearly for an audience. In the workplace, these skills help me gather accurate healthcare information, explain findings professionally, and communicate with staff, patients, families, and leadership in a clear and ethical way.
