RE: Medical Coder
Dear Human Resources
Your job posting caught my attention because we share the same goals of always putting patients first. As a new graduate and perspective medical coder my goal has consistently been for the patient to have the best possible outcome.
I took time away from my professional career to dedicate myself full-time to caring for my family as a stay-at-home parent. I look forward to working in the health care field again. I still hold an active LPN license and am current on both mandated reporting and infection control certificates. In an effort to expand my experience in the healthcare field I am completing my continued education with Bryant and Stratton College and was consistently on the dean’s list. My experience as an LPN was incredibly meaningful, and I truly value the time I spent in that role. I believe my background, coupled with my new skills will better enable me to identify viable primary diagnoses and review, interpret, and identify the framework of documentation. My diverse skill set will compliment other responsibilities and allow me to effectively handle additional duties as needed.
Thank you for your time and consideration-I look forward to your response.
With appreciation,
Lauren Calcagni, LPN
